Beginning your Disney vacation travel in Orlando or California

Just announced by Disney…..massive new attractions across the many Disney brands!  Disney Epcot, first opened in 1982, will have the “Ratatouille” ride add to the World Showcase’s France pavilion.  At Disney’s Future World Mission Space will be updated with a Green Mission taking guests on tours around the Earth and Orange Mission taking riders to Mars!  A “Guardians of the Galaxy” inspired attraction will also be added to Future World.   The Future World attraction will replace the current Universe of Energy attraction…closing in August 2017.

 

Disney’s Hollywood Studios, is adding new technology at the Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Rail that will transform the flat world (of Mickey Mouse cartoon shorts) into an incredible dimensional experience.   The Mickey and Minnie Runaway Railway will replace The Great Movie Ride.  This new technology Disney is calling 2 1/2 D (no glasses required)!

Disney’s Main Street USA will have a new live entertainment theater inspired by 1920s Willis Wood Theater in Kansas City.

Disney’s California Adventure theme park will get a Super Hero land featuring “Spiderman” and “Avengers” attraction, joining the popular Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission:  BREAKOUT! ride.  The park will also transform Paradise Pier into Pixar Pier, with characters and stories from movies like “The Incredibles” and “Toy Story”.

Disney Vacation Club Orlando

Disney also announced that it is building a new club resort AND skyway transportation option!  The Disney Riviera Resort in Orlando is due to open in the fall of 2019 as part of the growing Disney Vacation Club portfolio.  The Riviera will have approximately 300 units divided across a variety of room categories.  It will be the 15th property in the Disney Vacation Club portfolio.

The Disney Skyliner will connect the new Riviera Resort to Disney’s Art of Animation, Pop Century and Caribbean Beach resorts, and with Disney’s Hollywood Studios and the International Gateway at Epcot!  The Skyliner will give guestss a “never-before-see bird’s-eye view of Walt Disney World!
